Talk title: Evolutionary adaptation of mammals to a changing world

Environmental disturbances, particularly those caused by humans or climate change, often accelerate the rate of micro-evolution. Directional selection associated with anthropogenic changes may lead either to local adaptations or extinction, when constrained by lack of heritable variation. In response to those changes animals can significantly modify their life-histories, beahviour or morphological and physiological traits. During my talk I will provide many examples of adaptations of mammals to changing environment, based on my own research and literature.
